Specification Most maps are drawn to fit within an A4 or A2 page (i.e within 297 x 210 mm or 420 x 594 mm) and may be landscape or portrait depending on the layout of the city. Manhattan Island (New York) is a different format, approximately 831x 190 mm, because of its geographical shape. All our city plans are created using Macromedia Freehand and converted to PhotoShop EPS files (for printing) or JPEG (for the internet). Alternatively, we can supply the native Freehand or Illustrator files. The PhotoShop EPS files supplied are designed to be uneditable for ease of use and to avoid errors occuring in the file layering and structure after supply. JPEG files are supplied at 72 ppi. All fonts and symbols are converted to paths in the Freehand or Illustrator files for your convenience. We can supply the mapping without converting to paths but you will need to ensure that you have the correct fonts. We can supply a list of the fonts used if required. Fonts are usually copyright of the font creator and cannot normally be supplied by us. You can click on most of the maps available on the list to see a sample of the map before ordering. This will give you an idea of the layout and coverage of most of most of the maps. These samples are watermarked and have digital tags embedded. We do check for illegal usage of our maps. For information on the various formats of digital fles available click here. How to order Files can be sent by email within hours of your credit card payment being cleared (during working hours). If you wish to receive the files on CD please allow 3 - 4 days in the UK and a little longer for other destinations. The samples linked from the map list will show you the level of detail on most of the maps and the specification etc. The specification of the maps is liable to change from time to time as we are constantly improving and updating our products. When you contact us you will need to tell us which maps you require, the size, plus your name and address and full credit card details. We can supply files as PhotoShop EPS (for printing) or 72 ppi JPEG (for web use). Alternatively, we can supply fully layered Freehand or Illustrator files with fonts converted to paths but these do cost slightly more. We will send you by fax, post or email our current licence agreement which needs to be signed and returned to us before release of the files. A sample of our standard licence agreement can be found here - Licence Agreement. Contact us with any queries or questions here.
